Such a relationship is only established once a formal Engagement Letter has been signed by both parties.

While we strive for precision in our scalable support, the financial health of your corporation depends on the accuracy of the data you provide. Elysium Bookkeeping Inc. is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or consequences resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Client or third-party software (e.g., QuickBooks Online), including but not limited to CRA or Manitoba Finance (RST) penalties.

3. Third-Party Links & Software
Our digital-first workflow utilizes third-party platforms such as Dext and Wix. We are not liable for the privacy practices, security protocols, or service interruptions of these external providers.

4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Manitoba, Elysium Bookkeeping Inc. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses arising from the use of this website or our bookkeeping services beyond the fees paid for the specific service in question.
Data Protection & Security Standards
We collect personal and financial information (including SINs, GST numbers, and bank records) solely for the purpose of providing bookkeeping, payroll, and tax compliance services as outlined in your Engagement Letter.

To provide Scalable Support, we utilize industry-leading, secure cloud platforms. All clients data is protected using:

Bank-Grade Encryption: Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using 256-bit SSL.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Mandatory for all accounting portals (QuickBooks, Dext).

Secure Portals: We avoid unencrypted email for sensitive document exchange, preferring secure upload portals. To maintain data sovereignty, Elysium Bookkeeping Inc. utilizes Loom for monthly video insights. These videos hosted on secure, password-protected links and are subject to Loom's privacy protocols. We do not transmit sensitive SINs or full bank account numbers via video.

By using our services, you acknowledge that data is processed by third-party providers (e.g., Intuit, Dext, Wix). While we prioritize Canadian data residency where available, you acknowledge that data may be stored on secure servers in the United States subject to the laws of those jurisdictions (e.g., The Patriot Act).

In accordance with CRA requirements, we retain financial records for a period of seven (7) years. Elysium Bookkeeping Inc. is a paperless firm; any physical documents received incidentally will be scanned to a secure portal and immediately returned to the client or cross-cut shredded.

Clients have the right to access, review, and request corrections to their personal information held by Elysium Bookkeeping Inc. Requests can be directed to our Privacy Officer at info@elysiumbookkeeping.ca.

In the unlikely event of a data breach that poses a real risk of significant harm, we commit to notifying affected clients and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada in accordance with PIPEDA mandatory breach reporting requirements.
